Tak's Travel Tips & When to VisitGreenland.....

Greenland is an autonomous country with strong connections to Denmark similar to the nearby Faroe Islands. Access to Greenland is generally via air from either Iceland or Denmark. Transportation within Iceland is generally via air or sea, with a lack of roadway infrastructure.

Best Time to Visit Greenland

Short Answer: March to November

Longer Answer: It really depends. If you want to see the Northern Lights, then avoid April to September. If you want to have maximum sun, then visit in April to September, with the constant sun (and “warmest” weather) in June and July. If you want to dog sled, visit November through March.

Generally, I’d shoot for November or March as you can see the Northern Lights & dog sled while still not being in so much darkness. If you just care about the Northern Lights, shoot for October and November. If you moreso care about the dog sledding, shoot for March into April.

You should be able to see icebergs any time of year.
