Best Time to Visit Bulgaria
Short Answer: May to early October
Longer Answer: For the beach, the best is between June and September. If you are going for foods, then September and October is when a lot is being harvested. August is when cities empty out and beaches are probably most crowded. May is a nice month to visit although the water temperatures are still chilly. November through mid-March are cold – skiing is an option (Mt Vitosha). July and August will be hot (hence going to the beach or mountains) and high season.
So, shoulder season is April & May, September & October. High season is June thorough August. If you like jazz, International Jazz Festival in August. Concerts/Music season in early summer.
