From row 10, which is Main Cabin Extra on American, the pitch is quite ample and the distance allows laptop use with much more ease than the typical American 737-800 experience in coach would.
Window view is unobstructed from row 10 with natural window alignment better in rows 8, 9 and 11.
The IFE has boxes under every seat, A through F. The aisle seats have the worst under seat leg space (in photo below, you are looking at aisle on the left of the photo)
Bulkhead, in row 8, has the most legroom in premium economy (main cabin extra). The only issue might be the fact that the IFE (Inflight Entertainment) screens are affixed to the bulkhead wall (rather than in the arm) and so it could be a bit of a stretch to operate those.
Fortunately the complimentary content on domestic AA IFEs is so poor that it probably doesn’t matter.
Flight attendants didn’t welcome anyone aboard and grunt and sigh when the phone rings or people need things.
