Tak's Travel Tips & When to VisitMauritius.....
Mauritius is a Creole-speaking island nation located to the east of Madagascar. Officially English and French are spoken in certain settings as well.
Best Time to Visit Mauritius
Short Answer: The best time to visit Mauritius is between May and November.
Longer Answer: Mauritius is one of those places where the high season doesn’t happen in the best season. The majority of tourists arrive between December and March, with a summer bump happening in July. Between late December and March is when the heaviest rains fall, when the humidity spikes and when temperatures are the hottest. Between the relatively more uncomfortable weather and heightened tourist numbers, why visit Mauritius between December and March? Furthermore, cyclones are a possibility between November and April.
The best months for Mauritius are really between May and November. May and June are great months, with June typically being the month with the least tourists each year despite the great weather, clear skies and little rain. Tourist numbers bump up to levels near the high season in July and sometimes August when the wind is at its strongest which makes it a good time for wind sports.
Between July and October, the water temperatures around Mauritius are at their lowest but still fine if you are used to Northern European or American summer water temperatures (74F/23C).
Miscellaneous Travel Tips for Mauritius
Bring sunscreen.
Mauritius has a bunch of the resort, water activity thing going on. If you want to get away from that, look into the Seychelles or Maldives
