Tak's Travel Tips & Best Time for VisitingGrenada.....
Visiting Grenada? You have found my personal notes and travel tips, such as the best time to visit Grenada and miscellaneous facts which I obtain from a variety of sources such as first hand observations, personal conversations, magazines, newspapers, websites, books and so forth.
Grenada consists of the namesake island as well as the southern portion of Grenandines, including the larger populated Grenandine island of Carriacou and the very small island of Petite Martinique.
Best Time to Visit Grenada
Short Answer: December to May
Longer Answer: The high (drier) season of Grenada runs from the end of December through April or so. Early December and May are good shoulder months. From somewhere in May to November or so, Grenada’s rainy season kicks in. In spite of the rainy season, the second week of August is the raucous party of Carnival.
Both air and water temperatures, generally, are similar all year round and so the big difference is the increase in rain (and occasional hurricane) that shows up in Grenada’s summer.
Miscellaneous Travel Tips for Grenada
Great island to buy spices including nutmeg, cinnamon, etc. Note that they called turmeric “saffron”.
