Best Time to Visit Egypt
Short Answer: February through April, October through November. Anything but winter & peak summer for Red Sea resort activities.
Longer Answer: The best time to visit Egypt is generally going to be in the Spring & Fall. December through January is a great time to go weather-wise but is peak season (although currently (as of 2017) tourism numbers are way down due to overblown security concerns). Weather is great in February through April and crowds are lessened. May through September good pricing but can be unbearable with hot temperatures. Avoid Ramadan. October and November can be a great time to visit with nice weather without the crowds.
For Luxor, March & November are more optimal than April & October.
Red Sea Resorts: More moderate temperatures and sea temperatures in April, May, September, October. You can go June through August but temperatures can be quite hot. Winter (December through February) the water temperatures might not be conducive.
