Below are my notes for visiting Cote d’Ivoire. These travel tips, such as the best time to visit Cote d’Ivoire are obtained from a variety of sources including some of the following: my first hand observations, personal conversations, magazines, newspapers, websites, books and so forth. Whenever I hear something that interests me about Cote d’Ivoire, I jot it down here. Hope this comes in handy.

Cote d’Ivoire, previously referred to in English as the Ivory Coast, is located in western Africa. If you speak French, things can be easier although politically, connections to France (i.e. if you are a French citizen) can be seen as a negative due to the past history and some recent events.

Best Time to Visit Cote d’Ivoire

Short Answer: November to April

Longer Answer: Cote d’Ivoire has its dry, cool season from November to March. Temperatures start to rise in April and May. By June, the rainy season kicks in through October.

Miscellaneous Travel Tips for Cote d’Ivoire

Check out the fishing village (crabs, lobster) of Monogaga with its nice beach. Accommodations may be hard to score and might require some improvisation from locals.
