Below are my notes for visiting Barbuda. These travel tips for visiting Barbuda are obtained from a variety of sources including some of the following: my first hand observations, personal conversations, magazines, newspapers, websites, books and so forth.
Best Time to Visit Barbuda
Visit December through April for more mild temperatures and very low thunderstorm chance. September the nice trade winds die except for when the tropical storms and hurricanes blow through. As such, generally best to avoid August and September (even though these storms only come through, on average, every couple years)
Miscellaneous Travel Tips for Barbuda
Largely undeveloped Caribbean island. Pristine beaches.
From Antigua, you can take a boat or plane. By boat (2-3 hours, approx 2 hours on Barbuda Express). Day trips possible but a day trip by boat is a long one.
Frigate Bird Sanctuary is a must see as it is the second largest frigate bird colony in the world and also home to a slew of other birds.
The Caves of Two Foot Bay are easy to explore/find. There are many other caves on the island which are not as easy to conquer.
