Tak's Travel Tips & When to VisitAscension.....
Ascension is a tropical island in the South Atlantic between Southern Africa and Brazil, to the northwest of St Helena. It is a British Overseas Territory in the same vain as islands like Bermuda, however it does not permit people to live there (even though people do). Visitation requires permission from the Administrator of the island.
Best Time to Visit Ascension
Short Answer: The best time to visit Ascension is between June and December.
Longer Answer: While the short answer is that the best time to visit is between June and December, the longer answer is that anytime during the year is a great time to visit. The only differential really, outside of slight temperature swings, is that Ascension gets more humid at the same time it gets more hot in the January to May timeframe. That said, the weather on the island is highly variable and changes quickly. Further, there is more rain in the interior and on the south coast than on the north coast.
The water is warmest March through May (low 80s F or 27ish C) and coolest in September and October (mid 70s F / 27ish C)
